Alocasia are known for beautiful large and delicate leaves with interesting patterns. A wonderful plant that is always losing a leaf and gaining a leaf. A welcome addition to any plant family!
Climate - Native to tropical regions of Australia and Asia
Light - Bright indirect to low indirect, can be acclimated to withstand very limited direct light
Soil - Well-draining potting soil with peat moss, wait until it becomes potbound to repot
Water - Water weekly keeping soil evenly moist, let top 2 inches dry but never let dry out fully
Humidity - Likes increased humidity, use pebble tray or light misting
Temperature - Typical indoor temperature acceptable, prefers temperatures above 60 degrees
Fertilizer - Fertilize every 2 weeks during growing season with ½ concentration houseplant fertilizer
