This is a cycad which means its part of a group of ancient group of seed plants. The "cardboard" name comes from the rough texture of its leaves. This plant gives you all the tropical vibes and has the easiest care. It is drought tolearnt, adapts to many environments, and doesn't need a ton of light.
Climate - Native to Mexico
Light - Bright indirect, but can do acclimate to medium light to bright light.
Soil - Well-draining potting soil
Water - Water weekly, allow top inch to dry before watering.
Humidity - Likes increased humidity, but does not require added humidity
Temperature - Typical indoor temperature acceptable, prefers temperatures above 65 degrees
Fertilizer - Fertilize monthly in spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer containing macro-nutrients, fertilize every 6-8 weeks in fall and winter
