Citronella Plant

This fragrant plant is most famous as a mosquito repellant, though its fern-like leaves and delicate sprawl make them an endearing houseplant all year round. A lover of bright spaces, the citronella plant is also fairly drought tolerant. It's capable of growing between 2 and 4 feet with enough time and care!

Climate - Native to tropical regions of Southern Africa

Light - Limited direct to extended hours of bright indirect

Soil - Well-draining potting soil. Allow to become pot-bound before repotting

Water - Water every 2 weeks, let soil dry thoroughly between waterings

Humidity - Likes dry environments

Temperature - Typical indoor temperature acceptable, prefers temperatures above 65 degrees 

Fertilizer - Fertilize monthly during growing season with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer
