Climate - Native to semi-arid and tropical regions of Central America
Light - Bright indirect, but can do limited direct if acclimated
Soil - Well-draining , sandy soil. Can use cacti/succulent blend, also enjoys added orchid bark. Repot if necessary after blooming, but prefers being slightly pot-bound.
Water - Slightly drought tolerant. Water every 1-2 weeks indoors during growing season. Leaves will shrivel when plant is thirsty
Humidity - Prefers dry environment.
Temperature - Prefers warm environment. WInter in a cool place to encourage budding.
Fertilizer - Fertilize once monthly at most in spring and summer with a cactus fertilizer mixed at ½ strength
