About the Artist
Tanya Renne started Emerson Street Studios - a small private pottery in the heart of DC - in 2016. She started throwing when she was a wee-little lass and after many years chasing other things she has finally found her way back. She creates functional ware for commission, shows, and restaurants and sculpture for regional, national and international shows. She teaches, encourages and occassionally scolds but she's much happier with clay under her nails and mud on her shoes.
