All proceeds will go to Casey Trees: Our mission is to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of our nation’s capital. Since our founding, we have committed ourselves to shaping Washington, DC into a thriving urban forest. As part of that vision, we have set our sights on an ambitious goal: attaining 40% tree coverage by 2032. Right now, we’re so close—at 37%!

About the workshop: Discover the art of Kokedama and turn your house plant into a whimsical masterpiece! In this workshop, you'll learn the Japanese technique of creating Kokedama (苔玉, meaning "Moss Ball") by encasing plant roots in soil and moss. Hang them for a floating garden or display them on a shelf—either way, the effect is mesmerizing. No worries, it's easier than you imagine! We'll provide detailed instructions and all the tools you need to craft your botanical spheres. You'll leave with your unique creation and the skills to replicate it effortlessly at home. No green thumbs required! Beginners and experienced gardeners are all welcome. Just come ready to get your hands dirty (soap and water provided afterward). Join us for a laidback, semi-professional workshop where art and relaxation intertwine. Let's elevate your plant game! Secure your spot now and let your creativity flourish. See you there!
